To meet specific operational requirements, optional add-on modules can be added to the Delta Suite MIL-CORE to provide new capabilities.
The functionalities provided by these additional modules can be combined to provide solutions to increasingly complex problems in demanding business areas.
Available only on Windows, this business module enables elements specific to maritime patrol to be merged and presented on the Delta Suite Mil-Core.
For example, it can be used to interrogate the French Navy’s intelligence databases, and to trace AIS (Automatic Identification System) and Warship AIS tracks. This makes it possible to identify ships from the Delta Suite and capitalise on all the situational information available to characterise their behaviour. DS MAR-OPS also has a range of specific tools for search and rescue at sea (SAR tools), interception of uncooperative vessels, and calculation capabilities for extrapolating lost leads. It also has multi-source fusion tools (radar, AIS, manual reports).
This optional module comprises two sub-modules, IMINT and SIGINT (the latter is currently under development).
The IMINT sub-module is available under Windows only, and can be used to control on-board optronic systems, offering a set of advanced tools to optimise their operation. For example, it can be used to control encoders, extract the target point address or use “Moving Map” tools.
Available on Windows and Android, this business module enables fire support requests to be coordinated between all the players in an operation. It is particularly useful when troops on the ground request a fire sequence from a weapons aircraft. The aim may be either to reach an enemy objective, or to disengage from a situation where the troops are caught in enemy fire.
This module makes it possible to transfer standardised messages according to the norms set by NATO, with an adequate level of security and reliability during the exchange of the messages in question. In addition to message management (assistance with drafting, follow-up, etc.), Delta Suite can display on the map background the areas concerned by the fire (target, firing angles, etc.).
This business module, compatible with Windows and Android versions, enables interaction with UAVs using the MAVLINK protocol. It is thus possible to transmit commands to the drones and monitor their parameters.
Unlike DS WAVEBIRD, which is almost exclusively dedicated to remote piloting of UAVs, the DS DRONES module will enable complex payloads to be piloted, either alone or in conjunction with other modules (e.g. SIGINT).
